“Isolde!” Geoffrey's voice was so hoarse that it was barely audible. He gathered the last of his strength, reaching
out in an attempt to touch Isolde’s face. Instinctively, she dodged, but she kept shaking her head.
He let out a long sigh and looked at Isolde, half in pain and half in helplessness.
“Geoffrey, don’t speak!” Harlan, having just slain an enemy, turned around and comforted him. “You'll be
fine.”
His lips trembled just like Isolde’s, but he gritted his teeth and fought with all his strength.
Isolde fell to the ground, watching his blood continue to flow. She tried her best to suppress it and did not dare to
draw her sword. Just then, she felt his blood sceping out from between her fingers.
“Burywith your mother...” Geoffrey suddenly pushed himself up, forcing out the words. His eyes were wide,
his voice loud, as if he had used every last bit of his strength to say it.
As soon as he finished speaking, his head suddenly dropped to the side, yet his eyes remained fixed on Isolde.
The light in them slowly faded, but there was still a trace of hope.
He was waiting for Isolde to call him father, just once.
Harlan turned back and looked at him, his heart breaking. He shouted at Isolde, “Call him! Keep him here! No
matter his sins, he is still your father!”
Isolde shuddered, her mind blank. She lifted her head to look at Harlan, and the words escaped her lips, “No, |
don’t want you to die...”
At that moment, Geoffrey's chest heaved up and down. His eyes remained on Isolde, and slowly, a warm and
contented smile appeared on his lips....
“No, no, no...” Isolde let go of his chest, no longer pressing down on the wound. She didn’t care what effect the
medicine had, she just poured all of it onto his injury in a panic.
“Three key points, Isolde!” Doug shouted as he struck down an enemy. “Your master taught you the vital
pressure points to save a life!”
The fog in Isolde’s mind lifted. She snapped back to reality and quickly pressed down on three acupoints, Vitality
Center, Sacred Navel, and Liver Gate. These were the pressure points that could stop the bleeding and preserve
life. If struck fast enough, they could halt the blood loss.
Her master had taught her this long ago, yet she had forgotten.

On the high platform, Ashley smiled slowly, thinking. A once-powerful bow has lost its strength, and the struggle
was meaningless. Isolde, you're doomed to die!
Footsteps approached from behind, accompanied by a gentle, graceful voice. “I'm here, Your Highness!”
Ashley turned her head, leaned against the railing, and curled her lips into a smile as she gazed at the pampered
and noble woman.
“Ms. Charlie, you're here too!” The consort smiled warmly without any royal arrogance. She knew that

Her features were more delicate than Ashley's, with soft, graceful eyes. She wore a red silk gown adorned with
intricate embroidery.
Despite having borne three sons, she maintained a graceful figure, slim yet shapely. Her complexion was fair and
radiant, exuding a glow of contentment.
Kamari had many concubines, yet her position remained unshaken. There was no need for struggle or schemes.
She simply lived her life in quiet peace, becoming the most beautiful version of herself.
She noticed a dagger on the ground, bent down to pick it up, and placed it on the stone table. Assuming that
Kamari had lost his temper, she softly reassured him, “Rest assured, Your Highness, the palace guards will surely
defeat the bandits.”
She believed that those who had infiltrated the estate were mere thieves and outlaws, just as the guards had
told her moments ago.
She was a happy woman who had no need to think too deeply. It was enough for her to trust what others told
her.
Kamari looked at her, and a sharp pain twisted in his heart.
After all, they had been husband and wife for many years
“Serene, sit down,” Kamari said, handing the dagger to Ashley. “Ashley, hold the dagger.”
He offered the hilt to Ashley, but the sharp tip pointed directly at his consort, Serene.
Serena gracefully took her seat, her gaze lowered with gentle composure. “Your Highness, why have you
summoned me?”
“They are not bandits,” Kamari said, looking at her. “They are the Royal Court's troops.”
Serene swiftly lifted her head, her eyelashes fluttering as a hint of shock flashed through her eyes. “The Royal
Court's troops?”
Kamari’s voice was steady. “I am meant for greatness, but the Royal Court attacked first. Do you remember what
| told you? | said | would never live under someone else. And you promised that no matter what | chose, you
would stand by my side. Isn't that true?”
Serene’s lips trembled slightly, but she forced herself to remain composed. “Yes, | did say that.”
Kamari looked at her, and for a fleeting moment, hesitation flickered in his heart. But the image of the golden
throne burned in his mind, hardening his resolve. His voice grew cold. “I need you to step aside for Ashley. She
will helpachieve my goal.”
Serene’s lips quivered as she spoke, “I will leave of my own accord, withdraw to the countryside, and never
disturb you and Ms. Charlie for the rest of my life.”
There was a trace of pleading in her gaze, but what she met in Kamari’s eyes was nothing but ruthless
indifference.
Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through her waist as a dagger had pierced her from behind. A hand clamped over
her mouth, stifling her gasp. Ashley whispered in her ear with a cold voice, “Only with your death will my position
remain secure.”
Serene had sons, so Ashley would never be foolish enough to let her live and risk a future retaliation.

Serene collapsed to the ground, blood seeping from her lower back.
Kamari averted his gaze, unwilling to watch. His voice was emotionless. “Take her away.

Several attendants stepped forward to carry Serene away. Though she had been cast aside by King Kamari, she
had always treated the servants and soldiers with kindness during her tas the mistress. No one wanted or
could bear to disrespect her.
Ashley wiped the blood from her dagger, her eyes gleaming with a wild satisfaction. Looking down at the
battlefield below, she saw that the Royal Court's North Camp Army was still struggling to hold on.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHow stubborn! She sneered.
Isolde, covered in wounds, fought desperately. If they lost this battle, her head would roll. With nothing left to
lose, she fought like a woman possessed, cutting down multiple enemies. Though she managed to gain a
temporary advantage, the difference in strength was undeniable.
There was no despair in Isolde’s eyes. She remembered what Sadie had once said that help was on the way.
She trusted Sadie. This assault on the palace was not a reckless decision.
All she needed to do was hold on.
In the past, she had fought many battles where endurance had led to victory. No battle was ever easy. Every
triumph was bought with blood.
Her resilience ignited the sspirit in the North Camp Army. Even when defeat seemed near, not a single
soldier backed down.
This strong will was enough to create an unbeatable army.
They needed a turning point, and that turning point arrived soon.
Isolde’s relentless endurance had not been in vain.
The sound of galloping hooves filled the air as a white horse charged into the battlefield.
The rider seemed to descend from the heavens. He was wearing silver armor, and his determined face was filled
with a murderous aura.
With a long spear in hand, he struck down enemies one after another, his movements like those of a war god.
Wherever his horse galloped, enemy soldiers fell. Wherever his spear struck, blood splattered.
Isolde’s heart burned with passion, and her eyes blazed with a fiery red light. She leaped into the air, swinging
her whip fiercely at the sword-wielding martial arts expert in blue.
As long as he was here, no battle would be lost.
