Chapter 312 Angela couldn't be bothered to argue with Natalie, who didn't even like her. She simply nodded at Fiona. "Dexter, cwith me," Natalie called Dexter outside.
They stood at the end of the corridor. There was no one else except them.
Natalie got straight to the point. "What exactly happened? How did she suddenly end up with such a serious condition? Wasn't she already treated after she fell into the lake last time? Or did she suffer any aftereffects? What's wrong with her anyway? How could she be so irresponsible with her health?" Dexter's expression darkened. "Grandma, who wouldn't care about their own health? This has nothing to do with her negligence." Natalie shot him a sharp look, lowering her voice to say, "If she really can't have children, then shouldn't you start preparing? Our family can't just—" "This is none of your business." Dexter's voice turned icy. "Whether we have children or not doesn't affect my relationship with her." "Do you even have a relationship? Does she have any feelings for you? Don't think that I don't know about your strained relationship. You've been chasing after her shamelessly, and now you're trying to fool me? Do you find that amusing?" Natalie hadn't always been aware of Dexter and Angela's complicated relationship. She only found out because her wonderful grandson, Trevor, had told her about it.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTrevor had casually mentioned it a couple of times, saying he'd seen them arguing bitterly when no one else was around. He had even expressed his concern about it.
"You are the heir of the Bamford family. Do you know how many women in this city would do anything to be with you? They would tear you apart and take a piece each if they could. And yet, what does Angela treat you as?" The more Natalie spoke, the angrier she became. She crossed her arms, itching to storm into the hospital room and lecture Angela herself.
"I've already told you. This has nothing to do with you." Dexter remained silent for a moment before his expression turned darker.
Noticing his change in mood, Natalie softened her tone slightly. "Dexter, I'm only thinking of what's best for you. That woman doesn't care about you. She doesn't take you seriout and now she can't even bear children. What's the point of keeping her around?" "Enough!" Dexter growled. "Please leave." Without waiting for a response, he turned and walked away. It was rare for him to display such strong emotions, which made his reaction all the more surprising.
Angela could tell at a glance that Natalie had scolded Dexter, but she couldn't be bothered to ask about it and simply continued resting.
"Here, have a snack. It's made from dates. It' help your recovery." Fiona held out a small pastry to Angela. "I never heard that your menstrual pain was this severe before. Is this because of the lake incident?" "Maybe it's because you went back to work before fully recovering, and it weakened your body." Joseph looked genuinely concerned.
Angela forced herself to sit up straighter "Grandpa, Madam Fiona, this is just a small issue nothing Uust a serious. just need to exercise more and watch what I eat. I'll be fine with tand proper care." She smiled, trying to ease their concerns.

"I don't buy it. The doctor said your body was harmed by something. What could that be?" Fiona muttered, lowering her head in thought.
Angela was momentarily speechless.
Dexter hadn't found the answerm n either, so there was no way she would know.
