Chapter 541 Sketchbook Since Chloe was moving to Mamaica with James, the stuthey had planned to rent was no longer necessary. She went to see Amanda to deliver the news.

"Ms. Miller, I really appreciate you renting the space to me, but my plans have changed and I won't need it for now," Chloe explained. Amanda looked surprised. "Oh? Is there something wrong with the place?" Chloe shook her head. "No, it's just that I'm going abroad and might not be back for a while. So, the stuis on hold for now." With her being away, Chloe doubted that Candy or Quinn would keep up with a strict 9-to-5 schedule at the studio.

They were all working from home, managing tasks remotely.

Amanda's eyes widened with astonishment. "You're going abroad?" Chloe had just returned and hadn't had much tto connect with her. Now, she was already leaving.

e smiled lightly, "Yes, I have swork to handle over there." Will you be coming back?" It wasn't the first tChloe had been asked this question, and she gave her usual response. "I don't know for now." Amanda swallowed her curiosity and, after a moment, said, "Alright. A change of scenery can be good. If you need anything, just letknow. I have quite a few friends in Mamaica." Chloe couldn't help but feel that Amanda was being unusually kind.

They were essentially just client and contractor. The protective and tracking software Amanda needed had long been installed.

Amanda didn't really have to go out of her way to help Chloe.

"When are you leaving?" Amanda asked.

Chloe a sip of he took a of her juice. "Next Monday." That was only a few days away.

Amanda seemed to sigh softly as though a piece of her had been left empty.

Chloe remembered Amanda mentioning that she reminded Amanda of a long-lost sister. She figured Amanda might be thinking about her sister and offered scomfort. "Ms. Miller, I'm sure you'll find your sister!" Amanda's face softened with a gentle smile. "Yes, I know." Just as Chloe was reflecting on Amanda's enigmatic past, Amanda said, "Do you have sfree ttomorrow? I'd like you to cwithsomewhere." "Where do do you want to go, Ms. Miller?" "To Kingbridge Church Chloe was taken aback. She wondered, "Is the person Amanda likes in Kingbridge Church?" "If you're busy, don't feel obligated," Amanda added.

Chloe checked her schedule and, finding herself free, agreed.

They decided to meet after lunch and head up the hill together.

Back in Urban Lane, Chloe began packing her things.

Even though she had a few days left, it was better to start early. She had accumulated so much stuff and needed to sort out what to take and what to leave behind.

As Chloe was unpacking clothes from her suitcase, she noticed an old sketchbook hidden under the wardrobe.

Bending down, she retrieved it and saw it was a sketchbook from a long tago.

Memories surfaced as she dusted off the cover.

Chloe opened the book and found it filled with sketches of Michael.

She had a fondness for watercolor but was not great at sketching. Yet, this book was filled with sketches, as she had spent a lot of tidly drawing at Lotus Manor, where she had little else to do. Page after page, Michael was revealed in various scenarios-working at his desk, on vacation, exercising, etc. All I the sketches were born from her imagination, as he had never shown her any of those sides of himself.

Looking at these drawings now, Chloe thought it was amusing.

She thought, "How naive I have been three years ago!"

Chloe flipped through to the last page and was about to close the om sketchbook when she noticed something unusual. The back of the last page had writing on it. As she flattened it out, she realized it wasn't her handwriting.

The note read: [Maybe I could bring the things in this sketchbook to life.]

The simplicity of the message struck was Chloe like a bolt of lightning. It felt like she was holding a hot potato. In atlash, she threw the sketchbook to the floor.
